#1. See the Famous Basilica of San Simplicio
The Basilica of San Simplicio is one of the oldest non-Roman structures in Sardinia. Built in the 11th century, it sits on the outskirts away from the hustle and bustle of the town. It’s now a cemetery area, so visit with respect.

In the 15th century, the people built the Church of St. Paul the Apostle. Despite being a Christian church, it has a history of pagan worshipping. There is impressive architecture both inside and out.

When you visit any new country, you will want to try the delicacies of the area. One of the things to do in Olbia is to visit Lanterna for one of your meals. There’s an impressive wine selection and delicious fresh fish on offer. All you have to choose is sea-view or garden seating.

Take a trip to Vanni Macciocoo’s National Archeology Museums. It houses a unique patio in the center of the museum, setting it apart from anything else in the local area. This is a free museum only open Wednesdays to Sundays.

If one archeology museum isn’t enough, take a trip to the Museo Archeologico at the port. There are Roman amulets, pottery, Nuraghic finds, and so much more. This is one of the smaller things to do in Olbia, but certainly worth your time for the history.
